Earlier this month, Roma were forced to terminate their sponsorship with Betway, the main sponsor of the team’s training kits, due to Italy’s Dignity Decree. The decree, which took effect last summer, prohibits advertising with gambling or betting logos. Because of this, Calcio e Finanza reports that the Giallorossi will miss out on €9 million total for the next two seasons. The contract with Betway was set to expire at the end of the 2020/2021 season, but there was an option in place to extend the agreement for an additional season for €6.5 million, totaling €15.5 million in lost revenue for Roma.
