The Giallorossi’s rumored interest in German international Matthias Ginter dates back to before the January window, but now the club’s interest in the player has reportedly developed into something more concrete.
According to Il Messaggero, Roma want to sign Ginter due to his versatility in covering multiple roles at the back – a centre-back who can also handle his own as a full-back.
The Italian newspaper reports that Tiago Pinto has already formulated an offer for the 28-year-old of Borussia Mönchengladbach.
However, for the moment Inter remain the favorites to land him. The Nerazzurri had already tried to sign Ginter in the summer of 2021, but the negotiations have carried over these last few months.
The competition for Ginter is quite strong, with several top European clubs in the race for him.
