Roma continue to eye various profiles for their vacant sporting director role as Alessandro Austini of Il Tempo reports that the Giallorossi are eyeing a new potential candidate, one from Spain: Barcelona‘s Ramon Planes.
Reportedly, there has been contact between The Friedkin Group and Planes, who is currently the assistant sporting director to Eric Abidal.
The 52 year-old has worked at several Spanish sides throughout his career and even spent time at Tottenham during the 2014/2015 campaign with Mauricio Pochettino, who has been linked to the Giallorossi bench in recent hours.
The casting for Roma’s sporting director role is in full swing and every scenario is still possible pending the closing of the sale of the club on 17th August.
