Andy Mattioli

Roma are making concrete steps forward in their negotiations with Santos for Marcos Leonardo.

Over the last few hours the capital club have been engaged in talks with Santos for the signing of Brazilian forward Marcos Leonardo who is currently the number one priority for Roma’s attack.

According to La Repubblica, Roma submitted a bid of €10 million plus €8 million in add-ons which Santos promptly accepted.

However, the Brazilian club want some of the fees to be paid now, whereas Roma would like to sign Leonardo on loan with obligation to buy.

The newspaper claims that talks are progressing rapidly and the distance from a final agreement is not great at this point in time.
