Roma are making one last attempt to try and keep defender Chris Smalling on a permanent basis.
Filippo Biafora of Il Tempo has reported this afternoon that there was a meeting in the morning today between the parties.
It has been made known by the intermediaries working on the deal that Roma will make one last attempt in the next hours to purchase the player from Manchester United, who continue to request €20 million for the defender.
Smalling has become one of the most key pieces of Paulo Fonseca’s set-up and he has made it clear that he wants to remain with the Giallorossi.
