After two seasons, Roma goalkeeper Pau Lopez is closing in on a transfer away from the club.
The Spanish shot-stopper is nearing a loan move to Marseille after an agreement was struck today with the Giallorossi. Following weeks of negotiations, the two clubs, reportedly, reached an agreement late today on a fee for the 26 year-old.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, the French giants have agreed to pay €500,000 to acquire the former Real Betis man on loan. An option to make the move permanent has also been included into the deal, however, there are no conditions that turn this option into an obligation to buy.
The final piece that’s still missing is the green light from Lopez himself. Though, the clubs aren’t worried that he’ll reject the move given that Rui Patricio is set to join Roma.
