Roma could cash-in on another of their former players should they complete a transfer in the coming weeks.
The Giallorossi have already netted over €11 million this summer thanks to sell-on clauses they had for Davide Frattesi and Riccardo Marchizza. They may not be done, though, thanks to Milan’s interest in ex-Roma and current Basel left back Riccardo Calafiori.
Sky Sport reports the Rossoneri are seeking a reinforcement at left back to serve as the backup to Theo Hernandez—with Calafiori an option they really admire. Roma, meanwhile, are entitled to 40% of any transfer fee earned by the Swiss side in the event they sell the 21 year-old.
The clause was inserted as a part of Calafiori’s transfer to Basel last August, when he joined the club on a three-year contract.
