Roma are working to bring in an additional defender in order to complete and further strengthen Jose Mourinho’s backline in this year’s summer window.
The first name for the defense is that of Argentine centre-back Marcos Senesi.
According to calciomercato.com, Senesi’s agents met with General Manager Tiago Pinto a few days in order to see whether the capital club were willing to engage in negotiations with Feyenoord.
Pinto approved of the transfer. However, Roma made it clear that they are willing to only go as far as offering €10 million for Senesi whose contract with Feynoord expires next year.
The Dutch side are reportedly asking for at least €16 million. There is growing optimism that an agreement could be reached despite this initial difference between demand and offer.
