French outlet Le10Sport has reported that Roma are involved in a three-horse race with Milan and Valencia for the signature of Marseille’s Florian Thauvin.
The French attacker’s contract is expiring in June 2021 and to avoid losing him for free — Marseille is pondering a sale should they be unable to find an agreement on a contract extension.
After a disappointing experience in Newcastle, Thauvin is unlikely to return to the Premier League and has set his sights on a move abroad to either Italy or Spain.
The possible destinations of Roma, Milan and Valencia would allow Thauvin to “relaunch” himself after being limited to only 2 appearances this season due to an ankle injury.
Thauvin returned to Marseille in 2016 following an unimpressive stint at Newcastle United. He managed to tally 16 goals and 8 assists during the 2018/2019 campaign.
