Roma are looking at 22-year-old defender Koni De Winter as a welcome addition to their squad.
The Belgian centreback is being linked as one of the options Roma might consider to reinforce the defensive line ahead of next season.
According to Il Tempo, Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi made contact with De Winter’s entourage to inquire about his availability for a transfer.
The Giallorossi’s eventual attempt to sign the ex-Juventus man will largely depend on whether Marash Kumbulla will leave beforehand.
Kumbulla is likely to be sent out on loan once more after returning from a catastrophic spell at Sassuolo.
The Albanian defender is not included in Roma’s plans for next season – once his departure is made official, Roma will be able to focus on a defensive signing like De Winter.
