Guéla Doué is the latest name to be linked with Roma in this first week of the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old rightback of Stade Rennais is said to be among the list of names Roma director Florent Ghisolfi is studying to further strengthen the team.
In a series of discussions with Roma boss Daniele De Rossi, Ghisolfi drew up a plan A, plan B and plan C to further strengthen the wingback positions.
With the exits of Spinazzola, Kristensen and Karsdorp, Roma are expected to add at least two fullbacks this summer.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Roma’s priority remains Torino fullback Raoul Bellanova.
However, Torino have shown reluctance in selling the Italian defender after only season.
Therefore, Ghisolfi is ready to turn his attention to plan B, namely Guéla Doué of Rennes.
The Ivorian defender is reportedly keen on a move outside of France after concluding his second spell in the country’s top flight with 2 assists in 24 appearances.
