Today’s edition of La Gazzetta Dello Sport claims both Roma and Napoli are interested in Atalanta midfielder. Marten De Roon, 25.
Reportedly, Roma manager Luciano Spalletti is very much intrigued by the youngster and wants him in Roma. The financial situation of the operation? To take him away from Bergamo, it will take at least €12 million euro, a huge sum compared to the only €750,000 Atalanta paid for the player last summer.
The interest in the player isn’t surprising as Roma are destined to lose Seydou Keita and perhaps one of Miralem Pjanic and Radja Nainggolan, who are both drawing interest from all over Europe.
However, a deal for De Roon may not be simple. Why? Because at Trigoria, they know perfectly well that Napoli have a first right of refusal for the player.
