Roma are closing in on the signing of Lorenz Assignon from Rennes.

The Giallorossi have made considerable steps forward in their negotiations with the French club.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, the French right-back is very close to joining the Giallorossi on loan.

Roma’s latest offer for the 24-year-old consists of a loan fee of €1 million with an obligation to buy for €9 million based on key conditions.

Rennes are reflecting on the offer, but the proposal seems to be closer to their original requests.
