Roma negotiating transfer formula for Robin Olsen with Lille

Despite rumors of talks breaking down between Roma and the reigning champions of Ligue 1, Lille, the transfer of Robin Olsen to France is still a possibility.

According to Sportitalia the relations between the two clubs are good and talks are on-going. There is no issue with the Swedish shot-stopper’s salary (rumored as the main reason the talks had stalled).

The two clubs are discussing the formula of the transfer: Lille want to bring in Olsen on a loan with option to buy, while Roma want to make this a permanent sale.

It remains to be seen whether Tiago Pinto will manage to off-load Olsen on a permanent basis.

The latter option would certainly benefit Roma in the current transfer window as they would have more time and more financial means to secure the necessary reinforcements for the upcoming season.
