Roma net €800,000 after Elche acquire Ezequiel Ponce permanently from Spartak Moscow

Former Roma attacker Ezequiel Ponce has completed a transfer move from Spartak Moscow to Spanish side Elche.

The La Liga outfit originally acquired the Argentine in January on loan with an option to make the deal permanent for a fee of €4 million.

Following weeks of uncertainty, Elche finally announced earlier today they’ve exercised the option to buy, with Ponce subsequently penning a four-year contract with the club.

The Giallorossi will earn €800,000 from the deal thanks to a 20% sell-on clause that was included into Ponce’s transfer in 2019 to Russian side Spartak Moscow.

Ponce finished last season with 1 goal in 13 appearances for Elche.
