Roma are still on the hunt for a replacement to cover for Leonardo Spinazzola, who underwent surgery last week on his ruptured Achilles tendon.
The Italian international is expected to be unavailable at least until January, forcing Roma to turn to the transfer market to find a temporary replacement. The Giallorossi have been linked with a host of names throughout the past week, but a new one has emerged today.
According to calciomercato.com, Roma have been offered former Inter and current Manchester United left back Alex Telles. The 28 year-old, who possesses an Italian passport, featured in only nine league matches for the Red Devils last season and could depart the club in the coming weeks.
Roma’s preference is to acquire a replacement on loan with an option to buy, however, United want to sell the ex-Porto defender on a permanent deal after paying around €17 million for him just one year ago.
