RomaPress – There have been whispers over the past 48-72 hours that Roma have been offered Manchester United attacker Alexis Sanchez. A source at Roma has confirmed to RomaPress that they have indeed been offered the services of the Chilean. No move at the moment, however, is imminent – the Giallorossi, though, have not yet ruled out the possibility of trying to bring the former Barcelona man to Trigoria. The biggest stumbling block is a financial one: the attacker earns almost €20 million in net wages per season (the Giallorossi’s highest earner is currently Edin Dzeko, who earns €4.5 million per year – bonuses excluded). The English side would be willing to pay a large portion of the Chilean’s wages, but this would still require an important financial investment on Roma’s part. It remains to be seen if the move comes to fruition, but the Giallorossi are considering it.
