Roma offered Sporting Braga star Simon Banza

Andy Mattioli

Roma have been approached by intermediaries who have offered the services of Sporting Braga star Simon Banza.

As reported in previous days, Roma continue their search for a valid replacement of Romelu Lukaku and Tammy Abraham: both players are expected to leave the club this summer and Roma want to secure replacements compatible with Daniele De Rossi’s requirements.

According to Il Messaggero, newly appointed Roma technical director Florent Ghisolfi has been at work to find the right candidate for the job.

The newspaper claims that Ghisolfi has already held talks with various intermediaries and during discussions for Nice’s Jeremie Boga, Ghisolfi was offered the services of 27-year-old Simon Banza of Sporting Braga.

Ghisolfi and Banza know each other from their years at Lens – Banza is coming off a remarkable season in Portugal’s top flight with 21 goals and 4 assists in 28 appearances.
