Roma are targeting Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku as their number one priority ahead of the transfer deadline.
The Giallorossi have officially opened talks with Chelsea for the loan of Lukaku.
The Belgian attacker is still without a team after talks with Inter and Juventus over a permanent deal collapsed earlier in the summer.
The player is now keen on Roma as a temporary option.
According to the latest report by Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Roma officials – General Manager Tiago Pinto and vice-president Ryan Friedkin – have departed the Italian capital on a flight to London.
They are scheduled to meet with Chelsea this evening in order to hold a decisive round of talks involving the dry loan of Romelu Lukaku.
Roma are confident they can reach an agreement in the coming hours.
