Roma are reportedly in pursuit of Santos attacker Marcos Leonardo.

The Giallorossi had manifested interest in Leonardo a year ago, but nothing came of it in that period of time.

However, Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport reports that now Roma seem to be ready to bid for the 20-year-old forward who had been linked with Lazio up until a few weeks ago.

Due to the difficulties Roma have encountered in their negotiations for West Ham’s Gianluca Scamacca, the Giallorossi have now turned their attention to Leonardo with whom they have opened talks.

So far this year, Leonardo has scored 6 goals and registered 2 assists in 12 appearances for Santos.
