Roma are interested in acquiring Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah in January.
The capital club’s interest in Chalobah had already been rumored last summer as the centreback drew considerable attention from Europe’s top five leagues.
Now, La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Roma have launched talks with Chalobah’s entourage in order to further reinforce their backline for the remainder of the season.
Roma have made it a priority to secure a replacement of Chris Smalling whose prolonged injury has been a major concern for the club.
Chalobah seems to be open to the destination, although he hasn’t played a single so far this season, after going through an extended period of injury.
