Roma and American-based company AEG announced today a partnership with respect to the Stadio della Roma, here is the full announcement:
“AEG Facilities, a division of AEG, the world’s leading sports and live entertainment company, announced today that the company has officially begun operational activities on a long-term agreement to provide pre-opening and management services at Stadio della Roma, the new state-of the-art-stadium being developed in Rome that will be home to the AS Roma football club.”
“Under the terms of the agreement, the newly launched AEG Facilities Global Solutions will provide diverse pre-opening services during final design and construction periods with AEG Facilities continuing to provide full management and support services including event programming, purchasing through AEG’s global purchasing network, vendor venue services, sustainability consulting through AEG1Earth and event day operations for the venue including event staff training through AEG’s proprietary Encore program following the stadium’s opening.”
“The planned 52,000 seat facility expected to start construction in early 2017 and is anticipated to open for the 2019 – 2020 Italian Serie A season.”

“The development project will be anchored by AS Roma’s new state-of-the-art 52,500-seat stadium (expandable to 60,000), and will also feature a new team training facility, and several entertainment and F&B zones being developed by AS Roma. The interactive areas of the complex will include a live entertainment amphitheater, bars and restaurants, fan-friendly piazzas for gatherings, branded experiences, a museum dedicated to the storied history of AS Roma, and a team merchandise store.”
“As an integral partner on the project, AEG plans to dedicate a considerable amount of resources to the local community and to serve as a strong supporter of local job creation and economic growth for the city of Rome and to the broader Italian economy. The total master-site project budget is projected to be in excess of €2 billion with over €400 million in privately funded public infrastructure works.”
