Roma-Petrachi situation could end up in court

Gianluca Di Marzio has reported late this evening that Roma have opened proceedings to formally sack sporting director Gianluca Petrachi.

The Giallorossi will formally dismiss the 51 year-old for just cause after his poor attitude and his attempts to hurt the club after being at odds with some of the decisions being made by the management.

The situation, though, could ultimately end up in court. Petrachi has the opportunity to challenge the actions taken by Roma in accordance with the employment statutes.

Roma suspended the former Torino man last week following an outburst with club president James Pallotta after he sent the American a message on WhatsApp filled with expletives and criticisms.
