RomaPress Live – Villa Stuart: The new season has started for Roma.
Today, the players arrived at Villa Stuart for their preseason medical checks ahead of the team’s summer retreat at Pinzolo before they embark on their North American tour. Present at Villa Stuart were also William Vainqueur, Mario Rui, and Leandro Castan, all of whom are expected to be sold this summer.
Meanwhile, upon his arrival, Diego Perotti spoke to awaiting media members, here are his words:
What kind of season will it be?
We hope to have a more positive season than we did last year and bring a trophy home, which is what the players and fans want.
Personally, what kind of season do you expect?
I expect a tough season, it’s good to play in the Champions League without the preliminaries, but it will be tough. The other clubs are well organized, we will have a tough year with even stronger teams than last year, but I think it will be a great season.
What do you think of Roma’s transfer market so far? Are you afraid there is downsizing?
Monchi handles the transfer market. I think he is doing well, there are still some players missing, but I trust him. I’ve known him for nearly ten years and I know he will make a very strong team.
