Alessandro Florenzi‘s time as a Roma player is likely to end this summer as he is likely to permanently depart from his boyhood club.
La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that Valencia, the club he’s currently at on loan, will unlikely make the move a permanent one — meaning Florenzi will be forced to find a new club this summer due to not being in the plans of Roma boss Paulo Fonseca.
The 29 year-old has suitors both in Italy and abroad with Sevilla, Fiorentina and Atalanta all having registered their interest.
Another option that could be considered is a swap deal between the Giallorossi and Atalanta, who would potentially send Luis Muriel to the Italian capital.
Muriel shares the same agent as Florenzi, Alessandro Lucci, and fills a major need that Roma are searching for this summer: a “vice-Dzeko”.
