As the season starts to wind down, Roma are already preparing for the numerous returns of loaned players including Italian left-back Riccardo Calafiori, who joined Genoa earlier in January but failed to obtain any significant playing time under manager Alexander Blessin.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Calafiori’s future with the Giallorossi remains uncertain due to Nicola Zalewski’s recent emergence on the left flank.
Zalewski has impressed in consecutive games, climbing in the ranks of Jose Mourinho’s roster and is now considered a valuable addition to the team.
19-year-old Riccardo Calafiori is unlikely to settle again for a secondary role at the capital club in June and may push for another adventure outside the capital.
Roma, on the other hand, want to secure several profits to expand their budget for the summer and are pondering a permanent exit of the former Primavera player.
