Tension has built between Nicolo Zaniolo and Roma’s top management as the player as the player has increasingly grown frustrated with the negotiations over a contract renewal.
Zaniolo’s recent performances reflect the inner turmoil the attacker has been experiencing for the past few months as his future remains uncertain with rumors of a potential move away from the capital club in this January window.
According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, this idea may not be too far-fetched: several Premier League clubs including Tottenham, West Ham and Nottingham Forrest have come knocking on Roma’s door.
The Giallorossi could now choose to sell him for around €30 million, or postpone his transfer until the summer with the risk of significantly lowering the player’s price-tag. In Italy, Zaniolo is being monitored by Juventus and Milan.
