Roma have reportedly made the first steps toward the potential signing of Salzburg fullback Amar Dedic.

In fact, Dedic was heavily linked with the Giallorossi in the last few days leading up to the January transfer deadline.

However, his arrival would have only been possible in case of Zeki Celik’s exit.

Celik’s rumored move to Marseille seems to have collapsed in the last hours and therefore Roma will not be able to pursue Amar Dedic prior to tonight’s deadline.

As a result, calciomercato.com reports that Roma plan to continue holding talks for Dedic in the coming weeks with the objective of securing an agreement ahead of the summer window.

Dedic’s current deal with Salzburg expires in 2025 and the Austrian side estimate his pricetag at €18 million.
