Leonardo Spinazzola’s recovery has slowed down considerably over the last few months with Jose Mourinho even admitting in one of his press conferences earlier in the year that he would be more than satisfied if the Italian full-back made a return before the end of the campaign – around April or May, said the Special One at the time.
According to Il Tempo, the capital club are taking all necessary precautions and do not intend to rush the last steps of Spina’s recovery.
The Italian international has been involved in several warm-up sessions with the rest of the team but has not participated in any of the full team training sessions.
The Giallorossi have scheduled another consultation with Spinazzola’s surgeon during the next international break following the Derby on March 20th.
This meeting will help pinpoint a more precise date regarding a possible return to group training for the 28-year-old.
