Roma are set to prepare their legal defense of Jose Mourinho following the latest investigation carried out by FIGC.
On Sunday, the Federation’s Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation into Mourinho’s remarks directed at Serie A official Matteo Mercenaro.
A day later, the capital club were notified of the investigation’s conclusion.
Now, Corriere della Sera reports Roma will have five days available – starting on Monday – to present the defense briefs via their legal team.
The club could ask the federal prosecutor Giuseppe Chiné to question Mourinho before a possible referral: the Special One is accused of violating articles 4 (sporting loyalty) and 23 (detrimental statements) of the sports justice code: he risks a fine or disqualification.
