Roma are at work to secure the long-term future of head coach Daniele De Rossi.

Following his impressive start to life as the team’s manager, the club legend is expected to be rewarded for his efforts with a new long-term deal.

According to Italian journalist Flavio Tassotti of CusanoTV, Roma’s ownership composed of Dan and Ryan Friedkin, along with CEO Lina Souloukou, are preparing a proposal for a two-year contract.

The deal would also include the option for an additional season.

The capital club want to make De Rossi’s renewal a priority ahead of the summer when they will plan the team’s future together with the 40-year-old manager.
