Roma President Dan Friedkin proved crucial in helping seal a deal for Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku.
Friedkin – along with his son, Ryan, and General Manager Tiago Pinto – was personally involved in negotiations with Chelsea for Lukaku’s loan.
Moreover, the American businessman and licensed pilot personally manned the private jet that delivered Lukaku to the Italian capital on Tuesday afternoon.
In a recent appearance at Montecarlo for the UCL draw, Friedkin spoke to calciomercato.com about Roma’s transfer window.
“Getting Lukaku was a great deal,” said Friedkin. “It’s been a great window for Roma. We’re very happy,” he added.
