Roma wants to collect a percentage from Basel for the sale of Calafiori to Arsenal.

As announced yesterday, however, the matter could go through legal channels.

As Corriere dello Sport journalist Roberto Maida reports, the legal office of the Giallorossi club sent a certified e-mail to Basel to request recognition of 40% of Calafiori’s resale.

The clause that was originally included in 2022 is still valid because the Swiss club inserted a percentage on the resale when the defender was sold to Bologna last year.

With Calafiori’s move to Arsenal, Roma would be theoretically entitled to a total of 8 million euros.
