Roma have opened transfer discussions for one of their top objectives this summer.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Giallorossi are in negotiations to potentially acquire Eintracht Frankfurt wide-man Filip Kostić.
The capital club have already started discussions with the 28 year-old’s representatives after manager José Mourinho gave his ‘OK’ to enter talks for the attacker.
First, though, Roma must offload some of the dispensable players that are clogging up their roster. Thereafter, the club will make a serious push for the Serbian international in a deal that could cost €15 million.
City rivals Lazio have also previously expressed interest in Kostić after he delivered another strong campaign this past season. He amassed four goals and seventeen assists this in 30 league appearances, helping his side finish in a Europa League place.
The Serbian international is averaging 13.6 assists per season over the previous three years, emerging as one of the most creative attackers in Germany.
