Roma are prioritizing the addition of a dynamic, goal-scoring midfielder in Matt O’Riley of Celtic Glasgow.

The Danish international is reportedly the favorite profile in Trigoria to add depth to Roma’s midfield ahead of next season.

O’Riley is coming off an incredible season with Celtic: the 23-year-old finished this past campaign with 18 goals and 16 assists to his name.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the player is on top of Roma’s shopping list as he is considered the ideal fit for Daniele De Rossi’s tactical gameplan for next season.

Roma are keen on O’Riley because of his adaptability and ability to play further up the pitch in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-2-1.

His signing would boost Roma’s threat level in the midfield and add some much needed danger from outside the box.

O’Riley would also be compatible in that formation with and without Paulo Dybala, allowing De Rossi more versatility in his choices.
