Roma put on hold talks for Dybala’s renewal

Roma have yet to make any concrete steps in their negotiations for Paulo Dybala’s new deal.

After confirming his willingness to stay at the end of last season, the Argentine forward was rumored to be closing in on an agreement for a new contract with the capital club.

However, Il Messaggero reports that for the time being talks between Roma and Paulo Dybala’s agents have been put on hold.

The Giallorossi want further reassurances from the player with regards to his physical condition: Dybala’s underwhelming start to the season was marked by consecutive injuries that sidelined him for over a month.

Dybala’s contract with Roma is set to expire in 2025 which means that next summer could be the key moment to make an assessment of player and club’s long-term plans.
