After a successful loan spell, Patrik Schick is ready to permanently leave Roma and remain at RB Leipzig.
Sky Sport reports that the Germans are nearing an agreement with the Giallorossi on a permanent move for the Czech attacker for €25 million.
Schick joined the Bundesliga side in the final hours of last summer’s transfer window on loan. An option to buy for €28 million was inserted into the deal, however, Leipzig have been adamant recently that they would not be able to pay that amount. The two clubs have been in negotiations throughout recent weeks and are now closing in on a slightly discounted figure.
Schick’s exit will certainly be welcome news to most Roma supporters. The club’s most expensive signing — costing a total of €42 million — managed only 8 goals and 3 assists in his 58 appearances with the Eternal City club.
