Roma have made considerable steps forward in their negotiations for Serbian shot-stopper Mile Svilar of Benfica, reports Fabrizio Romano of Sky Sport.
The capital club have reached a verbal agreement with the 22-year-old who is expected to complete a move to the Italian capital once he becomes a free agent in June.
The Giallorossi are working on finding the necessary agreement regarding a compensation with the Portuguese side.
Once that is taken care of, Svilar will have the green light to complete his move and become a new Roma player as soon as the summer window opens.
The capital club have reportedly beat the competition from several other teams, including Benfica’s city rivals, Sporting.
