Roma are nearing the signing of Leipzig defender Angelino who is currently on loan at Galatasaray.

The fullback has been informed that his time at Turkey has come to an end and his entourage have been pushing him to move to Italy instead.

Roma, reports Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, were able to quickly agree to personal terms with Angelino and secure a provisionary agreement with Leipzig earlier today.

The 27-year-old could join Roma on loan with option to buy at the end of the season.

However, Di Marzio adds that Roma must first secure at least one outgoing transfer before signing Angelino: Renato Sanches, Marash Kumbulla and Zeki Celik are the primary candidates destined to leave the capital.
