American international Johnny Cardoso is said to be on Roma’s radar as a summer reinforcement.
The midfielder – currently away on international duty as USA’s Copa America tournament – is reportedly eyeing an exit from Real Betis.
His entourage have been looking for suitors outside of Spain: Cardoso wants more playing time and a club that would put him at the center of the project.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma may just be what Cardoso is looking for.
Th capital club reached out to Cardoso’s agents, reports the Italian newspaper.
Coach Daniele De Rossi needs a quick and reliable player like Cardoso who can alternate, in the name of continuity, with one of the three key players from last season, namely Lorenzo Pellegrini, Leandro Paredes and Bryan Cristante.
Cardoso seems open to Roma as an option for a move in the upcoming summer window.
