Roma have reportedly made contact with free agent Memphis Depay.

The Dutch winger, currently away at the Euros, was recently let go from Atletico Madrid.

Depay is now free to choose the next club he wishes to move to at the age of 30.

In recent days, reports La Repubblica, Roma came forward to make inquiries about Depay’s availability to come to Serie A.

The Giallorossi are not the only Italian club to have expressed interest in the ex-Man United man; Milan have also made progress in their talks with Depay’s entourage as he represents a viable alternative to Joshua Zirkzee of Bologna.

Although Milan would offer Depay the Champions League spotlight, Roma would make him a star in Daniele De Rossi’s line-up.

The newspaper claims Roma are already at work to try and convince the player’s entourage to lower their demands.
