Roma and Eldor Shomurodov intend to continue together.
Giallorossi sporting director Florent Ghisolfi has in fact been working on securing a new contract for the Uzbek striker who spent the last season on loan at Cagliari.
According to Relevo, a verbal agreement has been reached to extend Shomurodov’s contract until 2027.
This renewal would extend the current expiry date, set for 2026, by one year.
Shomurodov returned from Cagliari in the offseason and decided to remain in the Italian capital and play his chances as Artem Dovbyk’s deputy.
