Roma are aiming to make Mile Svilar their starting goal-keeper for years to come following his unexpected his ascent.

Svilar’s progress within the last ten months, from Rui Patricio’s back-up to first-choice goalie, prompted Roma to launch talks for his renewal.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are preparing the final draft of their proposal for a new contract for Svilar.

The new deal will run until 2029, essentially doubling his salary.

Today Svilar earns about 900 thousand euros plus bonuses and the new agreement instead starts from a seasonal base of 2 million euros plus add-ons.
