French giants Olympique de Marseille have identified 28-year-old midfielder Jordan Veretout as their primary target for the upcoming summer transfer window.
Veretout, whose contract with the Giallorossi is set to expire in 2024, is looking to move on from the Italian capital after a three-year stay.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Olympique de Marseille – who have completed several deals with Roma in recent years including those for Pau Lopez and Cengiz Under – have made their first bid for the ex-Fiorentina player.
The bid was rejected by the capital club who want at least €20 million for the Frenchman.
The two clubs are expected to carry the negotiations forward as the season starts to wind down.
