Roma’s Leonardo Spinazzola has captured the attention of non-Serie A viewers thanks to his scintillating performances so far in Euro 2020.
The 28 year-old has been one of standouts for Roberto Mancini’s side in their first two Group A fixtures, both wins, versus Turkey and Switzerland. He even earned Man of the Match honors following last week’s 3-0 dismantling of Turkey.
According to Corriere dello Sport, several clubs have already made inquiries for the ex-Atalanta, including Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants met with Davide Lippi, Spinazzola’s agent, and proposed including striker Borja Mayoral, who’s on loan at Roma from the club, in a permanent deal for the fullback.
However, no representatives or executives from Roma were present at this meeting because the club has made it clear to all suitors that they have no intention of selling Spinazzola.
Dan and Ryan Friedkin, Roma’s owners, consider the Italian among their top tier players and won’t consider the possibility of him leaving.
