Roma release an update on Mert Cetin: the defender had an respiratory tract infection

Roma’s medical staff released an update on the conditions of newly acquired defender Mert Cetin. The Turk has not trained in over a week as the Giallorossi clarified what has been causing Cetin to miss-out:

“The club’s medical staff have issued the following update on the condition of defender Mert Cetin. After returning to the club from international duty, Mert Cetin was struck down by a respiratory tract infection that required him to take a prolonged period of rest. During the course of the process to diagnose the problem, an issue with one of the player’s teeth was discovered. For this reason, the player recently underwent surgery to remove an impacted wisdom tooth. Cetin is currently on complete rest. Over the coming days he will begin a process of resuming physical activity”.
