Roma release statement on Milik talks

Roma have published a statement on their official website regarding the rumors surrounding their pursuit of the Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik.

“With regard to the rumors relating to the negotiation with Napoli for the possible transfer of Arkadiusz Milik, AS Roma denies any allegation on the state of the negotiations and even more on the physical condition of the player, for whom it has deep esteem and respect,” it began.

“The club reiterates that it never and will never comment, either in an official communication or in confidentiality, on the health or fitness of a player registered with another club”.

“Consequently, AS Roma rejects the attribution of any judgment on the player’s physical condition”.

The news came after several outlets reported that Roma found problems during the medical examinations that the club carried out on the Polish international in Switzerland.

Sources close to both the player and Roma, though, have informed RomaPress that Milik passed his medical examinations without any issue.
