Roma are reportedly still leading the race for Santos attacker Marcos Leonardo.
The capital club had been engaged in talks with Santos for the permanent switch of the 20-year-old.
However, the Brazilian side eventually pulled out of negotiations, preferring to postpone them until the January window.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma are still in pole position to sign Leonardo in January.
However, the 20-year-old’s performances with Santos and his goal tally of 20 goals in 37 appearances this year has caught the attention of Eintracht Frankfurt.
The German club could be tempted to sign Leonardo in January given Kolo Muani’s recent move to PSG.
