Roma have already started preparing for the upcoming summer transfer market, hoping to build on the work they began last year under transfer chief Tiago Pinto.

The Giallorossi are expected to primarily focus on overhauling the midfield and defence, seeking to find players that fit better within José Mourinho’s tactical setup.

One of the profiles the Special One wants is a left-footed defender to play on the left side of his three man defence.

In addition to Feyenoord’s Marcos Senesi, Teleradiostereo journalist Flavio Tassotti reports the Giallorossi continue to eye Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapié.

The capital club attempted to acquire the Ecuadorian international last summer before he joined the German side from Talleres. However, they still haven’t given up in their pursuit after his successful maiden season in Europe.

Though, several Premier League clubs are also interested in the 20 year-old’s services.
