Roma are in pole position to land Lorenz Assignon from Rennes.

The French fullback is reportedly in talks with the Giallorossi after concluding his loan at Burnley.

Despite the English club expressed interest in keeping him, Assignon is not keen on staying in the English Championship.

As a result, Sky Sport reports that Roma are leading the race with Assignon with the player already having his OK for the move.

The Giallorossi are said to be Assignon’s first choice among the teams that have come forward for him.
